Old numbering system(Hence, oldest writings)

My three words to Physicists is "Conservation of Number". With all their conservation laws at their disposal and the terseness of number patterns being revealed, it stands to reason that there exists such a phenomena as the "Conservation of Number". Though I have had to take years of compiling basic patterns of thought and activity as a means of detailing the frequency by which only a handful of numbers continue to crop up, once the idea of conservation set in, it is easy to recognize. While there are large numbers one might compile regarding cycles of events involving geological activity, we do not see the numbers being used widely in other subjects. It is like being faced with a jargon or vernacular in a select area. Let us look at this language a bit closer:

The Earth system has undergone a general cooling trend for the past 50 million years, culminating in the development of permanent ice sheets in the Northern Hemisphere about 2.75 million years ago. These ice sheets expanded and contracted in a regular rhythm, with each glacial maximum separated from adjacent ones by 41,000 years (based on the cycle of axial tilt). As the ice sheets waxed and waned, global climate drifted steadily toward cooler conditions characterized by increasingly severe glaciations and increasingly cool interglacial phases. Beginning around 900,000 years ago, the glacial-interglacial cycles shifted frequency. Ever since, the glacial peaks have been 100,000 years apart, and the Earth system has spent more time in cool phases than before. The 41,000-year periodicity has continued, with smaller fluctuations superimposed on the 100,000-year cycle. In addition, a smaller, 23,000-year cycle has occurred through both the 41,000-year and 100,000-year cycles.

The 23,000-year and 41,000-year cycles are driven ultimately by two components of Earth's orbital geometry: the equinoctial precession cycle (23,000 years) and the axial-tilt cycle (41,000 years). Although the third parameter of Earth's orbit, eccentricity, varies on a 100,000-year cycle, its magnitude is insufficient to explain the 100,000-year cycles of glacial and interglacial periods of the past 900,000 years. The origin of the periodicity present in Earth's eccentricity is an important question in current paleo-climate research.

The Earth system has undergone dramatic changes throughout its 4.5-billion-year history. These have included climatic changes diverse in mechanisms, magnitudes, rates, and consequences. Many of these past changes are obscure and controversial, and some have been discovered only recently. Nevertheless, the history of life has been strongly influenced by these changes, some of which radically altered the course of evolution. Life itself is implicated as a causative agent of some of these changes, as the processes of photosynthesis and respiration have largely shaped the chemistry of Earth's atmosphere, oceans, and sediments. ("climate change." Encyclopædia Britannica.)

The last paragraph in the above selection reads very much like the processes and effects of language, so long as one looks at in a general way. While we know that languages have radically changed over time and that languages can affect social changes on a grand scale, we are not quick to make the leap to use such a metaphor as 'language' because we humans are so pig headed and yet very picky about what our minds are permitted to chew on as a preferred diet of intellectual contemplation. Large numbers used in an isolated manner as the context above is like finding yourself in a small town where everyone speaks strangely. The large numbers being used in this context are not representative of widely occurring number patterns. I see them as one might come upon a clan of jungle dwelling peoples still living in the stone age. The group is an isolated occurrence and does not represent the whole of humanity. Hence, speaking of an idea entitled as a "Language of Consciousness" where number patterns are being used as a tool to identify repetitions, is too far afield for some to permit their minds to wander to and investigate. The word "consciousness" means one thing to them and is not a term that they would generally conceive of as being fluidic or malleable. Consciousness to them is not a Popsicle stick boat being used by a child as a boat bobbing up and down, running into and missing obstacles while it is flowing down a gutter in a street after a rain storm. However, neither would they think of consciousness as a solid object such as is described by the term "organ" or bone. While it is a processes, they don't have a useful model of the process they can turn to as if looking up the Krebs citric acid cycle.

I have already discounted the idea of a "Cosmological" theme related to the repetition of threes. Hence, I part company with those who become overwhelmed by the ubiquity of "threes" occurrences in multiple subjects as to respond with a reaction that they interpret the widespread repetition to be reflective of some grand unified theory. If the "3" is as important a cosmological theme as some might be inclined to suggest, we would see multiple examples of trinary star groupings. We don't. Why there aren't is anyone's guess... be it due to the youthful age of the universe such that it is in a "two" stage development as the Germ Layers were long ago before moving into a three layer formula. Or perhaps there is a Universe with a trinary dominant star clustering but we don't have a means of detecting it nor going to it. Then again, maybe this Universe is part of a 3-Universe grouping but the closest we humans have come to this idea is to create a three-geometries idea involving a flat, circular... and triangular-like form:

Various examples of the 3 geometries concept

Even though I may use the word language to describe the different, but similar proposition of 3 geometries, doesn't mean I am advocating it as a speech pattern from a supreme being. Realistically I can't see one, and prefer not to assume a man, woman or it is speaking to humanity with signs. However, if you are using the term "god" or "creator" in a metaphorical and not actual sense, then I can go along with the view. However, whatever was involved with the design of life, be it the 3-patterned sequence of the Sun's dawn- noon- dusk effects coupled to the two-patterned night/day periodicity in conjunction with the rotation rate of the Earth and proximal effects of the Moon's presence; then I might be inclined to think of such a scenario as a (metaphorically described) pantheon of gods... but not that they did not have some type of origination themselves.

Since the two-patterned night/day sequencing event has an established affect on plant and other forms of life, it stands to reason that such a sequence is a good candidate for supposing that humans became so entrained by the pattern it was absorbed and expressed in various dichotomies that, upon being recognized as a group with a similar, represented (to early peoples) they were dealing with a law of Nature and thus a god, since Nature could be assumed to be a god. So too could individual environmental periodicities be logically seen as gods, such as thunder/lightning, the ocean, the stars, the sun, the moon, etc... To an awakening mind, to a changing consciousness, such concepts were rational because there were no loud voices of alternative concepts to consider. Indeed, while most people don't revere environmental phenomena as a god nor think in terms of a pantheon, many of us have seen behaviors which suggest that people still practice these same types of perceptions in regards to activities which they are absorbed in, be it sports, the stock market, politics, religion, criminal activity, academics or whatever. Many of us have seen someone who acts like a worshiper of a sports or movie screen star. I have personally seen those who treat their job as a ceremony by which they are best able to reach their god called money or a professional position as if it were like being given a gift of god-like power... in context, though they would describe such in more audibly humbler terms in accordance with the era in which they live.

But let me speak to the idea of a Language of Consciousness more clearly. Because I think Consciousness was born deep in the past of humanity, and anthropologists might offer crude tools and the like as an indication of consciousness, we have no other tangible means of pin-pointing when the first spark of consciousness came into being, as to be differentiated from mere awareness. If we say awareness IS consciousness and prefer to leave that as one's starting point of discussion, it will suffice. However, awareness may not necessarily involve thinking. Hence, we now have to consider whether consciousness involves thinking, or is there perhaps two kinds of consciousness to speak of? One kind involving mere awareness and one which involves thinking? Yet, what sort of thinking are we assuming took place? While we might suggest that the first type of consciousness was awareness aligned with instincts for survival, (not to mention heart rate and breathing, and other physiological processes...). Let us look at an initial attempt to recognize Basic Environmental Phenomena presenting us with recurring patterns which initially (in a primitive way) are experienced physiologically (and like-wise mimicked/echoed/reflected in some manner) and later on (experienced in a more psychologically sophisticated way) as a symbolic quantity with the language labels of a given civilization:

One, Two, Many environmental phenomena

One, Two, Many profile of cell division

We can pay witness to the same One, Two, Many phenomena in cellular division, owing to the fact that there is an inclination even today for humans to think of an event exhibiting multiplicity as a "Many" occurrence though we may use alternative words such as "exponential" or "billions" to describe some measure after the first few counts of division and multiplication. In other words, we do not customarily sit around and count the quantity of divisions nor the resulting number of cells. We come up with some reference which is viewed as a logical or rational reference to some relative "third position" occupying our thoughts.

Many people think in a 3-step fashion though they may not realize it. For example, we have the 1st position as a Start (let's call it a Major Premise because of its significance in observational attendance), then a 2nd position as the central part of a race (let's call it a Minor Premise because of its casually interested observers), and then a 3rd position as the final significance of a race (let's call it the Conclusion). A few examples are as follows:

  • Beginning, Middle, End
  • Teen-age, Middle age, Old age
  • low-grade, mid-grade, high-grade (gasoline/petrol)
  • Below a given dollar amount, An exact dollar amount, Above a given dollar amount (When a person is filling their gasoline/petrol tank.)
  • Places to go, People to see, Things to do (colloquial expression detailing an order of importance governing a limited time)
  • Get a Bachelor's, Get a Master's, Get a Doctorate (University succession of degrees)
  • Past tense, Present tense, Future tense
  • Small, Medium, Large (X, XX, XXX) common sizes used in U.S. clothing

A few steps used as a repetitive example of the Many

By looking at basic processes of physiological and biological activity, we can identify the "1- 2- 3/Many" theme. Does the following image of an electroencephalogram (EEG) showing typical brain waves of sleep and wakefulness, represent a type of Map (or survey of a terrain) of how Consciousness historically developed in humans, and may symbolically repeat each time there is an advance in consciousness? With the idea of an enlargement as we proceed through a 1- 2- Many step-wise formula, doesn't the simple size of brain waves exhibit such a pattern?

Correlating brain waves to an idea of Consciousness

When crafting an ideology of some pattern, it is necessary to strive for some original composition and not simply be just another compiler of examples of others perspectives, unless in such a list one is able to assert the presence of an unacknowledged perspective applicable to the purpose for creating the foundation of a research orientation, necessary for extending the understanding of an appreciation that 1) has not been appropriately viewed, 2) has been appreciably overlooked, or 3) can be cited as a possible threshold of venturing into realms of contemplation which are otherwise unassailable from current vantage points of research; even if the final result may not be that which one originally contemplated.

I have been speaking of and sometimes just alluding to the idea of a "Cognitive Language" as well as a "Language of Consciousness". While some readers may come to conclude they think of these as the same thing being described with different words, let us for the time being keep them separate and include the idea of an unknown participant, because I am inclined to think in "threes" but have no real evidence to provide you so that it can be tangibly acknowledged other than being a "what-if" proposition.

The language of consciousness appears to develop in a manner similar to that of a 1- 2- 3 scenario which repeats, and if the repetition occurs in close proximity to the next cycle, gives the impression of an overlap that some may interpret to be a continuation that they then assign the next group of three with terms which best suits their perspective of a continuation such as 4- 5- 6. If they continue using this formula of interpretation, it can become a favorite, or an expected pattern that is then defined in the manner of a "law" that is applied to other perceptions which are valued to a measure they create elaborate and extensive rationalizations to support, along with a certification of correctness defined by the adoption of institutions wherein such uses are refined and taught to others.

At the outset let me say that I think before speech arrived in the manner we of today might describe it and not as some primitive human-like creature vocalizing grunts and screams and the like; there was a "sort-of" cognitive activity that we might describe as a type of thinking which occurred that did not need words as we might think to ourselves while writing. And even if someone today experienced that frame of mind, they would not be able to describe it accurately other than an array of impressions, though we actually don't know what this means in terms of brain activity on the cellular level or even above this. In any respect, most of us don't take the time to consider how the brain may have been functioning prior to speech, and whether or not such mental patterns disappeared later on or became incorporated in the conveyor belt of later speech activity, or whether there was a distinct patterning which stood its ground and took on some type of symbiosis that language and other symbols have come to provide a vehicle for expression.

Then again, all life is an "expression" of basic biological processes but we do not know to what extent the repeating patterns of such processes come to remain as the same or nearly like the patterns exhibited by up to and through physiological and anatomical structures into the domains of mental activity and speech, as well as constructs thereof by way of using the hands, all the while noting that each change of venue might cause some distortion just like having a story told for multiple generations. And with this said, let us make note that while some patterns change in a story, others remain and others may change to conform to a dominant fixture of expression such as the recurring "three" found in multiple fairy tales.

For example, a repeating pattern of cellular division can be conveyed as a three-step process: One cell divides into two cells which divides into multiple cells. In other words, it describes a "One- Two- Many" (or multiplicity or plurality, etc...) While we may readily provide a number for the "1" cell dividing into "2" and then follow this up by saying 4, 8, 16, 32..., we are still describing a One- Two- Many scenario, whether we use words or symbols such as numbers. Likewise we can describe this as an occurrence taking place in the Pentadactyl limb. We have a "1" bone in the humerus/femur, "2" bones in the forearm/lower leg bone, and "Many" bones in the hands and feet. While you may think of this tally as a crude representation; the repetition of this "primitive" expression by Nature may be an indication of the very basic language being used by basic cognitive processing and consciousness. Though someone working in electricity or with computers might want to speak of an on/off or binary duality as being basic, these ideas do not change the presence of a "2", no matter the attendant dress up by whatever vocabulary is being used by whichever subject. Simply changing context of application and how such a number is described does not change its basic nature. With respect to the "Many" the present day word "Infinity" is a representation thereof, no matter who would argue that it is beyond the "3" with a definite number... though no one knows what it is. And if you are asked to describe infinity as a number, just as one might ask a primitive to describe the "Many" as a number, a present day person expressing the value of 3 or 4 or 5 etc., would have little meaning past their concept of "Many". Likewise if an extra-terrestrial came to Earth and described some value beyond the word "Infinity", it would have little meaning because that is the end of the conceptual framework being used. A different type of mental framework will be needed to surpass this type of conceptualization. The present use of the word "Infinity" is comparable to a primitive's usage of "Many", which occurs in a three-patterned way as 1- 2- Many. Today's equivalent being used again and again by Mathematics is again a pattern-of-three in the form of: "1, 2, 3..." and is the same pattern seen in the triplet code of DNA.

However, they are an expressed limitation framed in different ways exhibiting a repetition. The word "repetition" can be synonymously associated with the term "conservation". This conservation is an imposed limitation being expressed in different ways like mutations which can occur, but are limited in scope and how they may be constructed numerically. The numbers applied by us to distinguish the value of a place, of a position, are sometimes erroneously viewed as markers of a quantity or quality which have no bearing in some contexts. When humans get into a repetition, they may sometimes quantify or apply quality, as part of a self-entertainment inclination from which they can transform into some artificialized hierarchy of value that in essence is just a made-up game. Anyway, the point is that Nature uses patterns to express what we call conservation laws most often applied in physics: In classical physics, laws of this type govern energy, momentum, angular momentum, mass, and electric charge. ("conservation law." Encyclopædia Britannica.) However, as astute as physicists are in recognizing certain repetitions as being conserve, their recognition of the recurring "threes" in their research of particle physics has not struck them yet as being representative of yet another type of conservation related to human cognition that I am referring to as a "Conservation of Number". The fact that patterns-of-three are an expressed visible pattern in particle physics, is an expressed Conservation of Number. Yes, there are multiple patterns-of-two, but this pattern falls into the observed 1- 2- many category. And let me emphasize the word "category" for those who would want to cite an exception. But now that you see the 1- 2- many as a composite, some readers will be more open to any other composite they might stumble on and begin to make a list of as a representation of an underlying "cognitive language" occurring in our present "language of consciousness" whose words and symbols may be substituted from one generation, from one era, from one country to the next, but the underlying dominant patterns come to the surface, even if one generation or one culture did not make use of them in a fuller capacity of their potential... just like a primitive human not using fire in multiple applications.

It's not that we can't think past "three", but if you look at our place value system of numbers, we notice that the structure expresses a group or set-of-three followed by a comma which acts like a point of demarcation between the first set-of-three and the next set, which is the standard we use for all other numbers, no matter how high we let our imaginations soar. It is a repeating conservation of cognitive activity taking place that we can see in multiple places by multiple fashions in multiple subjects. However, what we do not permit ourselves to readily see nor accept is the usage of alternative types of sets to occur in the same supposed number line. For example, a person writing 123 may not be permitted to then follow this with ABC, or then follow this with small, medium, large... or 3 unrecorded gestures, or three yawns, or some other set-of-three that doesn't use numbers. We don't allow people to be creative unless they create some context of definition, some frame of reference intelligible to the observer, be they a visual observer, feeling observer, taste observer, hearing observer, etc... Such different expressions, even though they may occur close in proximity to the use of numbers, might well be referenced as a mutation, an anomaly, a rebellion, a person not playing the game right, or a person deliberately being difficult instead of someone merely allowing their cognitive language, the language of THEIR consciousness a freer range of expression than what might be expected by a person or persons in a particular context who have their own frames of consciousness seeking some external confirmation of correctness.

Place value notation using numbers

The same underlying pattern is used but discounted as being different

While Nature is playful, it still remains playful within a an area of conservation that has been defined in part by physicists labeling that part of the playground they are most familiar with the boundary marker of "Laws of Conservation", which is some sense a "stay of the grass" sign or "watch for snakes, scorpions and spiders" (since multiple life forms in Arizona have sharp points... like cacti, and I am writing this while in a portion of Arizona's inhabited desert). Take for example the presence of elements as currently described and defined by humans. There are a measly 118 elements!:

Present day periodic table of the Elements

This reeks of conservation used by Nature. Yet, one might think that a product (Nature) of the "entire" Universe would not need to be limited. Unless the limitation is "meant for" the life forms growing in a particular context like Earth. The recurring pattern-of-three in particle physics is another example of Nature's ensemble of conservations.

Humanity is so caught up in their games of play they are overlooking simple basic patterns which may have been routinely recognized, but labeled in a manner that is derogatory, whereby all future generations of observers are subjected to interpretations amounting to a taboo... that if a person engages in the consideration of, marks them as an infamous "they" person... or in child-like terms, a person who has the "cooties". Since Mathematicians want to think of themselves as being other than a professional engaged in a profession of logic, and that previous people used the number three to express superstitious, mystical and rather illogical ideas; for a person to say they are interested in the number 3 automatically makes them a target for derision or attack by those who have an affinity for another number... and may have a considerable arsenal of examples to wield as either a club or water spout to drown someone in, if they can't beat by some other means such as playing a game of chess. However, if we look at chess as a metaphor of what I am describing, we can see that both it and checkers show commonalities of basic cognitive patterning. For example, the three basic directions are horizontal, diagonal, vertical. Yet these basic underlying conservations are buried quite extensively in the elaborations of the pieces used in chess, and less so in checkers. This I believe is taking place with the presence of an underlying language of cognition. It uses a basic pattern that is subjected to multiple elaborations for different game maneuvers we call living or life. Most people get so caught up in the trappings of life that they are placed at a cognitive distance from recognizing the roots of their thinking, though they may be experiencing a troubled way of life and decide to get back to some simpler model called love, peace, back to nature, away from civilization, off the grid, get a farm, return to country living, move to a small town, etc., but are not getting back to a fundamental of Nature which is described in many instances as a pattern-of-three they may in fact begin to use but not recognize because of the social trappings being used in a given context.

Early architectual columns used by ancient Greeks and Romans

The handful of numbers that keep cropping up in different ideas and activities are conservations of number. Out of all the infinity of numbers, we are only using a few... much like out of all the Universe, there are only a handful of elements and out of all the primate-like beings which have been found in the fossil record, humanity is thought to have sprung from one or two, and that by some estimates there are only three members of the modern day clan (Homo genus) called H.habilis, H.erectus, H.sapiens. (pg. 349, Penguin dictionary of Biology, ISBN 978-0-141-01396-1) Whether the count is accurate or not, the fact remains that a pattern-of-three is used, just like it was once used to describe the world's races into the three camps of Asian, Caucasian and Negroid. It doesn't matter what is now believed about multiple races or that "race" is poorly described or that we are all one race called Humanity, the fact remains the human mind at one time resorted to using a familiar pattern that nature itself uses such as having created life on the third planet by way of a triple code in DNA that resorts to creating the development of three Germ layers (Ectoderm- Mesoderm- Endoderm) from which human anatomy is replete with patterns-of-three as described by Dr. McNulty and associates: List of Threes in Human Anatomy. In addition, the human mind when looking back upon history not only recounts in some fashion the recurrence of the "threes" pattern in mythology, but as a record of the main types of architectural columns used by the Greeks and Romans.

If we say that the ancient mind was closer to hearing the voice of basic cognition, of one's basic consciousness that may be described as a primordial voice speaking to them in the then symbolism attached to 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, etc., and the foremost philosophical views of a given age were caught up in magic, mysticism, astronomy, divinations, alchemy, esoteric (and secret) religious orientations, animism, nature worship, fertility occupationalism (as a philosophy, as a religion, as an excuse to engage in inebriation, sex...), etc., which were interpreted as some major key to unlocking the mysteries of life and the cosmos; they were not lying, but were given in to exaggerations influenced by being awestruck during one or several experiences by a change in their consciousness which they had no other means to frame it except in the over-riding search to unlock impressions and perceptions being describe as "messages" as "signs" given expressly to them... because they felt themselves to be in touch with a higher power. The "higher power" being a change in consciousness interpreted as an "awakening" interpreted by a realization of recognizing a repeating pattern which was "hidden" from their previous view and remained hidden from most people.

I can only imagine how astonished the people in the past were upon discovering the repetition of nightly stars and then interpreting them as a message from "on high"... just beyond the common mortal grasp. Then too it must have been a feeling of ecstatic joy in discovering the primitive triples attributed to Pythagoras, just as I was as a child discovering a recurrence of patterns-of-three in biology, medicine and physics. However, it was a pattern that is sometimes absent and a different pattern is visible, thus eventually causing me to wonder if the pattern was actually missing because it wasn't there or because of interpretation? In some cases I have that a pattern-of-three is not seen because of interpretation and at other times because it actually does not exist or that there is some type of prejudice or bias being expressed by a given person in a give context.

For example, Astronomers like to use the term "Binary star" frequently:

Binary Star also called 'double star': (Is a) pair of stars in orbit around their common centre of gravity. A high proportion, perhaps one-half, of all stars in the Milky Way Galaxy are binaries or members of more complex multiple systems. Some binaries form a class of variable stars. ("binary star." Encyclopædia Britannica.)

Is the use of the "binary star" reference because there are no trinary star groups or too few to make frequent mention of, because a person is simply reciting a common expression used in Astronomy started years ago, or because the present Universe is too young in its development to created Trinary systems? Then again, is it really that important, even though it may cause some finders of a recurring pattern(s) to turn away from their number (or other pattern research) because they have come to value star groupings as a fundamental fixture of reality by which to measure many, if not most things? For myself, it doesn't bother me since there are other to-be-called fundamental fixtures of life (like a sink, toilet, shower, refrigerator, washer/dryer...) which are much closer to home such as the Earth being the 3rd planet, the multiple 3s in physics and anatomy, as well as in hearing and language. However, it is of importance to recognize that despite the lack of a dominant portrayal of Trinary star systems, Astrology (kin to Astronomy) is framed in terms of 4 groups of triads corresponding to the 12 months. In other words, binary star systems like the dualities in the yin/yang and the binary code of computers, we see the presence of "threes":

  • Astronomy: Binary stars- (Astrology uses triads)
  • Yin/Yang: Duality sets- (I-Ching using (false) triads)
  • Computers: Binary code- (Boolean Algebra, And-Or-Not)
  • Genetics: Double stranded DNA- (Triplet code)
  • Anatomy: 2 arms/legs, 2 eyes, 2 ears, etc.,- (Underlying triple anatomy)
  • Languages: tonal/non-tonal- (Triple/trimodal word order)
  • Mathematics: add/subtract, rational/irrational, etc.,- (cubes, trigonometry, etc...)

There are other groupings which apparently do not exhibit a three but may be inferred, such as the (singular) Out of Africa Hypothesis for the origination of human migration and the (plural) Multi-regional hypothesis model (involving the notion of Gradualism); with a third grouping attached to the Out of Africa view Intermediates, such as the African hybridization-and-replacement model and the assimilation model. ("human evolution." Encyclopædia Britannica.) Each of these three categories can be interpreted as expressions of quantity along a number-line involving an underlying cognitive impulse to generate relevant material related to cognition's own history connected with consciousness, as well as the idea of overlapping. Whereas the idea of layering in an onion or "head" of cabbage or "head" of iceberg lettuce may come to mind; the use of simpler layering models may be more accurate such as the endocarp- mesocarp- exocarp of fruit. With respect to the layers in an onion, multiple people have used it as a metaphor for different ideas. The multiple layers of the onion apparently came before the "3-layering" of a fruit such as an apple. Onions are angiosperms which came before the later-born fleshy fruits. (In other words we see a multiplicity occurred before the next state of angiosperm development with a reduction to a 3-layer.)

My guess is that there may be a type of symmetry attached to such a conservation, but I do not yet know it well enough to describe it intelligently, with or without words. The limited quantity of number patterns being repeated may well be a type of dot-to-dot formula for describing a picture, but I do not yet have a full grasp of the "Big Picture". I see the puzzle and am working on it, but do not yet see the picture on the outside of the box. Yet, the pieces are starting to fall into place. Perhaps by creating a frame by placing certain corners and edges of ideas together, the meat of the image will eventually come into better focus.

If we look a little closer at the three categories of ideas about Human origins, a clearer distinction about using a "three" model might be the more easier recognized by the accompaniment of an illustration and follow-up itemized explanation. Note that I arranged the models to correspond to the idea of a "1- 2- Many" profile. Information is from: (Testing Models of Modern Human Origins with Archaeology and Anatomy by: Christian Tryon (Center for the Study of Human Origins, Department of Anthropology, New York University) & Shara Bailey (Center for the Study of Human Origins, Department of Anthropology, New York University) © 2013 Nature Education):

Three dominant Human orgin models

  1. Out of Africa model (Originating from one place):
    • The Out of Africa model posits that all living humans (Homo sapiens sapiens) descend from a population that first appeared in Africa and subsequently spread throughout that continent and across the remainder of the globe, replacing existing hominin populations such as the Neanderthals. This would have occurred sometime between perhaps 90,000 and 60,000 years ago.
  2. Assimilation model (Combining the other two models):
    • Assimilation models combine elements of the other two models, and their adherents favor an African origin of Homo sapiens with varying degrees of integration through interbreeding with existing populations as Homo sapiens spread from their place(s) of origin.
  3. Multi-regional model (Originating from multiple sources):
    • Proponents of the Multi-regional Evolution model suggest that hominin populations have maintained extensive social and biological ties across Africa and Eurasia for at least the last 1.8 million years, beginning when members of ancestral species such as Homo erectus dispersed from Africa. In this model, isolation among hominin populations created regional variation in behavior and biology, but occasional contact between groups through the sharing of ideas (cultural transmission) and mates (gene flow) was sufficient to prevent the formation of distinct biological species.

If I (again) show you an image of the place value system used in basic arithmetical processing, it may not dawn on you to consider it as a basic cognitive formula to be found in multiple subjects, though most of them do not used numbers, and most of them may not carry the sequence past the first set of three followed by a one or singularity. I think that the idea of a "One" god described by the three large Monotheistic religions developed in desert communities (Christianity, Islam, Judaism), was the beginning of a new phase in human consciousness noticed by its rejection of the ideas former polytheistic religions. Hence, we pay witness to a situation in which the "Many" (described with the term "poly"-theism), which was part of how a former generation of human consciousness exhibited the tail-end of a 1- 2- Many cognitive development formula that may alternatively be described as a "hundredths" position in a number line of sequentiality, thus starting the sequence all over again in an overlapping manner that nobody is recognizing because of the language, culture and application of the underlying pattern. It is like the basic horizontal- diagonal- vertical patterns of chess being obscured by multiple elaborations of the "game", which becomes variously practiced in different social games as well... yet the basic pattern survives. Similarly, different life forms can be viewed as "games" being played by nature which makes recognizing a similarity of basic patterns more difficult, but they nonetheless exist. While chess is an elaboration of the basic moves seen in checkers, checkers is an elaboration of basic "moves" in the Language of Cognition, which plays a decisive role in the Language of Consciousness.

A typical representation of sets -of- three sequencing

If you don't see numbers being used in a set of three, you may automatically dismiss it without even thinking about how the set of three is separated by a comma. If if you don't readily see a comma with a set of three and a one character as shown in the next image, you might reject them as having any similarity in the way the human brain is processing information:

3 stop and and 1 start codon in RNA and DNA

In addition to the three basic moves permitted in chess and checkers, let us notice the presence of 64 squares which has a similar presence in genetics, but I have as yet not seen the pattern being expressed in multiple venues (subjects). Perhaps it is conserved conservation. If this is the case, then let us add the notion of a conserved conservation of a conservation... much like a 3-tiered system that I view as the structure in the language of consciousness and how it speaks... or if you prefer, how it babbles or stutters and can't seem to move into a more complex means of communication, though differences in intelligence might lead you to think otherwise.

Several basic cognitive patterns acccompany checkers and chess

Here are some other 3 -to- 1 variations with the same numerical profile using other-than numbers:3 -to- 1 ratios page A.
